Chelsea are at risk of losing out on one of their targets to another European heavyweight.

Chelsea will be happy with the transfer business that they have been able to do this summer. For example, the Blues have brought in the likes of Joao Felix and Pedro Neto, who have already managed to make an impact.

Felix scored on his second debut for the club over the weekend, with Neto setting him up in the Blues’ 6-2 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

With all of that being said, Chelsea are yet to sign a proven centre-forward, though it has been claimed that Behdad Eghbali is trying to land Victor Osimhen.

PSG could make late offer for Napoli’s Victor Osimhen

Chelsea are not the only club who appear to be interested in signing Osimhen before Friday’s transfer deadline.

According to Gianlucadimarzio.com, Paris Saint-Germain could offer up to as much as €60m, which is around £50m, to add the 25-year-old to Luis Enrique’s side.

It could see Chelsea turn elsewhere, with it being reported that the Blues are already trying to sign another striker.

Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol has claimed that Chelsea are in for Ivan Toney. It will now be interesting to see if the Blues can bring in either the Brentford star or Osimhen.

Chelsea fans should be happy with either Victor Osimhen or Ivan Toney

Nicolas Jackson was able to score over the weekend, but he is still not the most consistent finisher, while Chelsea do not have too many natural centre-forward options in their squad right now.

It would help, then, if they brought in another striker to compete with Jackson, who missed a couple of good chances in the Blues’ first Premier League game of the season, a 2-0 defeat to Manchester City.

Therefore, whether it is Toney or Osimhen, if Chelsea do go on to sign a No.9 before the transfer window closes on Friday, supporters will probably be delighted. If not, then no pressure, Jackson.
