Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal were all linked with Victor Osimhen during the summer transfer window.
In fact, the striker was a key target for the Blues. Chelsea actually tried extremely hard to sign Osimhen from Napoli.
However, in the end, the 25-year-old joined Galatasaray on loan. Missing out on him would have been a frustrating development for Chelsea.
But the Blues could have another chance to sign Osimhen as early as January, with the Nigerian thought to have a break clause in his loan deal.

Arsenal will not challenge Chelsea for Victor Osimhen’s signature
If Chelsea do plan to go back in for Osimhen, it is unlikely that they will have to worry about London rivals Arsenal.
While there was some talk about the Gunners being interested in Osimhen during the summer, a report from GiveMeSport claims that they have no intention of going after the Nigeria international in 2025.
It is good news for Chelsea, who still appear to be interested in Osimhen and may be thinking about resurrecting a deal for him next year.
Close friend and former Chelsea player John Obi Mikel has hinted that Chelsea could return for Osimhen in January.
Chelsea could get another free run at Victor Osimhen
At one stage during the summer transfer window, Chelsea had a free run at Osimhen.
While Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli were interested in signing the former Lille man, they eventually turned their attention to Ivan Toney, whom they managed to land in the end.
That left just Chelsea in the picture to sign Osimhen, but they failed to get a deal over the line.
With Al-Ahli bringing in Toney and Arsenal not interested in Osimhen, perhaps Chelsea could get another free run at him in 2025. Until then, Enzo Maresca will be relying on Nicolas Jackson.
It has been claimed that Chelsea opted against signing Toney themselves, worried that the former Brentford man would not have actually been an upgrade on Jackson.
