Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca will be more than happy with the attacking options he has right now.
In his Chelsea squad, he has the likes of Cole Palmer, Jadon Sancho and Noni Madueke, who have all proven to be quality offensive players this season.
Even so, the Blues are still being linked with some very talented attackers, though there has also been some exit talk.
For example, it has been reported that Christopher Nkunku could depart Chelsea next month. The forward has made just two starts in the Premier League this season.
Chelsea interested in Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane
One attacker who has recently been linked to Chelsea is Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane.
Sane’s contract expires at the end of the campaign and that looks to have alerted Chelsea and other clubs.
According to Sport, Chelsea are interested in Sane, whom Bayern now consider as dispensable. The German giants signed Sane from Chelsea’s Premier League rivals Manchester City for £54.8m back in 2020.
Sane is not the only Bayern player who has been linked with a move to west London. It has also been claimed that Chelsea have been speaking to Jamal Musiala’s representatives.
Who else is interested in Leroy Sane?
Unsurprisingly, if Chelsea do plan to make a move for Sane at the end of the season when his contract expires, then they could face a lot of competition for his signature.
Sport’s report claims that their Premier League rivals Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in the 28-year-old, while Barcelona are keeping a close eye on him.
Sane is a top attacking player and has proven that both in Germany and England. Last season, the winger scored eight goals and provided 11 assists in 27 Bundesliga appearances.
Considering the attacking options that they already have, Sane does not need to be a priority for Chelsea. But on a free transfer, you can understand why the club would consider him.
