Sky Germany journalist Marc Behrenbeck has claimed that Chelsea are currently the favourites to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Youssoufa Moukoko.
The Blues have been strongly linked with making a move to sign the teenager, who is set to become a free agent next summer.
There has been speculation that he is currently unwilling to sign a new deal with the Bundesliga club, potentially opening up a move to a new club.
Moukoko has recently been seen at the World Cup with Germany, where he broke the record of becoming the youngest player to feature for their side at the tournament.
Behrenbeck has claimed that Chelsea are in a far better position to secure the signing of the Dortmund man than any of their interested rivals.

He said: “It is clear that a lot of top clubs are asking about Moukoko and are keen on him as he is available on a free transfer in the summer and is a bargain.
“We hear that Chelsea are the closest. There have already been negotiations and talks. More clubs Manchester United, Liverpool, Barcelona and Newcastle are on the list, but Chelsea is the hottest, the others aren’t ready yet,”
Todd Boehly acting quickly has been a common theme of his time at Stamford Bridge so far.
He has seemingly secured the deal to sign Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig next summer, despite there still being plenty of months left in this current season.
While he will no doubt strengthen their frontline, they may still be keen to bring an outright striker to Stamford Bridge.
With Armando Broja out for a number of months through injury, Chelsea fans may have been hoping that they could add to their ranks as early as next month, keeping their attempts for this season in the front of their mind.
