Chelsea could make a late raid on one of their Premier League rivals, with the Blues still in the market for a striker.
Chelsea have been linked with quite a few Premier League centre-forwards this summer, including Ivan Toney, Alexander Isak and Dominic Solanke.
Solanke, though, is no longer an option for them following his move to London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Chelsea have also been linked with strikers abroad. It has been claimed that Chelsea have made Victor Osimhen their No.1 target for the No.9 position after pulling out of a deal to sign Atletico Madrid’s Samu Omorodion.

Chelsea could make loan swoop for Brentford’s Ivan Toney
With Solanke gone to Tottenham and Isak being such a key player for Newcastle, Toney is Chelsea’s only realistic option out of the three.
Like Isak, the 28-year-old is obviously an important figure for his team, but with less than 12 months to run on his contract, he is attainable this summer.
According to The Independent, there is a possibility of Chelsea trying to take Toney on loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the transfer window.
The same outlet claims that Brentford currently value their talisman at £60m. Chelsea think they have a chance of signing Toney this month.
Chelsea should make their loan offer for Ivan Toney now
Whatever proposal Chelsea are thinking about making for Toney, they should do it immediately rather than at the end of the transfer window.
There does not appear to be too much interest in the England international right now. With that in mind, the Blues should strike before that changes.
Chelsea seem to be prioritising Joao Felix at present, but they need a natural centre-forward like Toney more than another attacking midfielder.
The problem is, it looks like Chelsea need to sign Felix for Conor Gallagher’s move to Atletico Madrid to go through. Until that mess is sorted, Toney and Osimhen are probably going to be on the back-burner.
