Chelsea were not afraid to do business with a couple of their top four rivals during the summer transfer window.

They allowed Raheem Sterling to join Arsenal on loan, while Ian Maatsen was also sold to Aston Villa.

Both clubs are currently above Chelsea in the Premier League table, with Enzo Maresca‘s men outside of the top four at the moment after losing to Liverpool over the weekend.

Even so, it looks like Chelsea could do more business with Arsenal in the near future. Paul Merson was shocked by Sterling’s move to Arsenal at the end of the last transfer window.

Chelsea willing to sell Raheem Sterling to Arsenal

Sterling could eventually join the Gunners permanently, and he is unlikely to cost them that much money.

According to FootballTransfers, Chelsea want just £25m for Sterling, which means they could end up selling the winger for half of the price they bought him for.

However, it appears that their London rivals want Sterling for even cheaper, with the same outlet claiming that Arsenal value the 30-year-old at £15m.

Arsenal fans mocked Chelsea after Sterling’s first goal for the club, which came against Bolton Wanderers in the third round of the Carabao Cup. But the England international is yet to score or provide an assist in the Premier League.

Chelsea should sell Raheem Sterling to Arsenal

Chelsea need to sell Sterling to Arsenal or another club permanently next year. The wide man is obviously not a bad footballer.

In fact, last season, former Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino told BBC Sport that Sterling is an “amazing player”.

For whatever reason, though, he has just not been able to show that at Stamford Bridge, hence why Chelsea allowed him to join Arsenal.

Considering that, his massive wages and all of the other wide options currently in Chelsea’s squad, the Blues need to get rid of Sterling for good in the new year.
