Chelsea are going to have to see off competition from one of their fiercest rivals to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens this summer.
Chelsea are likely to strengthen their attack in the next transfer window after failing to do so last month.
The Blues were linked with several wingers and centre-forwards, including Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho and Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap.
Following Chelsea’s failure to sign Garnacho on deadline day, they could perhaps make a move for him in the summer. But he will not be the only wide man that the Blues consider.

Jamie Gittens now at the top of Tottenham’s list
It has been reported that Chelsea have already started work on a deal for Jamie Gittens, another winger they looked at in January.
Signing him will not be straightforward, though, as other clubs are also interested in the Dortmund star.
Tottenham Hotspur are one of them, with GiveMeSport reporting that they have now made Gittens a “prime target”.
Arsenal are also thought to be keen on the 20-year-old, so a real transfer battle for his signature could be about to ensue.

Chelsea and Tottenham could clash over another player
Gittens is not the only player who could be targeted by both Chelsea and Tottenham in the summer.
Feyenoord’s David Hancko is also attracting interest from Chelsea and Tottenham, who have both had issues in defence this season.
The race that the Blues have to win, though, is the one for Gittens. He has proven to be a quality left winger in the current campaign, while Chelsea may be without Mykhailo Mudryk next term.
Gittens is developing into a real goal threat, scoring 11 times in 32 appearances this season. It is not bad for a 20-year-old.
His dribbling is also very impressive, with the England U21 international currently completing 3.3 dribbles per game in the Bundesliga. It is the highest average in Dortmund’s squad, according to WhoScored.
It will be extremely disappointing if Chelsea miss out on Gittens to Ange Postecoglou and Tottenham.
