Chelsea youngster Carney Chukwuemeka has received plenty of interest from Germany, with Borussia Dortmund the latest to push for his signature.
As Chelsea look to trim their squad before the season kicks off, Carney Chukwuemeka presents the opportunity to do exactly that.
The 21-year-old has been at the club for three years, having arrived from Aston Villa in 2022 for a fee in the region of £20 million.

It’s safe to say the move hasn’t quite worked out for the Austrian-born attacking midfielder. But even after an objectively unsuccessful stint at Chelsea, there is still plenty of interest in Chukwuemeka.
Chelsea want a permanent fee from Borussia Dortmund for Carney Chukwuemeka
Chukwuemeka went to Dortmund on loan for the second half of last season. He made 17 appearances for the German side, including four at the Club World Cup. Chukwuemeka earned praise from Niko Kovac for his performances in black and yellow.
But when his loan expired, Dortmund did not use the option to sign Chukwuemeka permanently, suggesting the two parties would part ways.
New information from Fabrizio Romano on Monday is bringing attention back to Chukwuemeka, with Dortmund returning to the negotiating table.
A deal should be possible, with all parties wanting the move to happen, and Chelsea even lowering their asking price.
Dortmund are not Carney Chukwuemeka’s only option
While Dortmund play hardball with Chelsea, Juventus are monitoring Chukwuemeka, having enquired about a deal in January.
RB Leipzig have also looked into the Chelsea youngster, amid talks over Xavi Simons going the other way, though now it seems Tyrique George could be off to Leipzig.
West Ham United too have been linked to Chukwuemeka, as they look to fill the void left by Mohamed Kudus’ departure.
All this to say, Dortmund could be outbid or simply outrun to the signature of Chukwuemeka, so if they are truly interested, we should hear a concrete offer very soon.
