Chelsea could join the race to sign the new Mohamed Salah, who has really impressed this season.
Chelsea, of course, had the real thing at one point and will wish that they still did. Right now, Mohamed Salah is probably the best player in the Premier League.
In the 18 games that the winger has played this season, he has scored 17 goals and provided 13 assists
Cole Palmer has been up there with the Egyptian, though. Palmer was recently nominated for another award, Premier League Player of the Month for December.

Chelsea tracking Eintracht Frankfurt’s Omar Marmoush
Omar Marmoush of Eintracht Frankfurt has had a couple of really good seasons, resulting in comparisons being drawn between the 25-year-old and his compatriot Salah.
His form has also seemingly caught the attention of Chelsea and a host of other clubs.
According to CaughtOffside, Chelsea are just one side who are currently following Marmoush’s progress.
The same outlet claims that the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal are as well and that he could cost up to €70m (£58m).
Marmoush is not the only attacker whom Chelsea have been linked with. There has also been talk about Chelsea being interested in Dani Olmo amid his registration dilemma at Barcelona.
What has Mohamed Salah said about Omar Marmoush?
Salah himself has spoken about the comparisons being made between him and Marmoush, telling people that they need to stop making them in a bid to prevent his Egypt teammate from feeling too much pressure.
“I want people to stop comparing him to me, by saying that he will be the new Salah and will do what he did and overcome, that will put him under pressure all the time and does not help the player,” Salah was quoted as saying by the Liverpool Echo.
“It will put him in comparison with a player who has been very successful over the past years, but he is still starting his career. Let him live his experience and be happy with it, comparisons will not help him, let him do something of his own and in his direction away from my career.”
While Salah is an inside forward, Marmoush has spent most of this season playing up front for Eintracht Frankfurt.
Chelsea may have to sign a new striker this year, with Christopher Nkunku’s future far from certain. The Frenchman was overlooked in the Blues’ 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace on Saturday and is not a natural No.9 anyway. Barcelona could be a possible destination for Nkunku, if reports are to be believed.
