Chelsea now looking at ‘fantastic’ £10m Wolves player

Chelsea are now looking at Wolverhampton Wanderers star Rayan Ait-Nouri as a potential transfer target.

That is according to a report from 90min.

Rayan Ait-Nouri, who’s an exciting left-back, signed for Wolves in a £10million deal (The Athletic) a couple of years ago.

Now, the 22-year-old’s one of the best young full-backs in the Premier League.

Chelsea interest

90min states that Chelsea have added Ait-Nouri to their list of potential targets for 2024.

It is understood that the defender’s good form this season at Molineux has seen him emerge on the Blues radar.

Apparently, Mauricio Pochettino’s side are tracking the Algeria international as they focus on the left-back position.

In addition, the report says that Wolves are already getting ready for Ait-Nouri’s potential departure, so are scouting Atletico Mineiro’s Guilherme Arana as a possible replacement.

Rayan Ait-Nouri a future star

Ait-Nouri’s certainly having an impressive season in Wolves colours so far, which is why we can definitely see him going on to achieve big things if he keeps developing at this rate.

Described as “fantastic” by Bruno Lage last year (Wolves’ official website), Ait-Nouri ticks a lot of boxes when you’re checking on a left-back.

The attack-minded full-back is a great dribbler and rapid when attacking. He defends very aggressively in 1v1 situations, too.

The Wolves rising star isn’t the only left-back rumoured to be in Chelsea’s sights.

CaughtOffside reported last month that Chelsea have registered an interest in signing Inter Milan defender Federico Dimarco if the correct opportunity arises.

Elsewhere, journalist Simon Phillips reported via his Substack last week that Chelsea are keen on signing Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies next summer.
