Chelsea only have one week remaining to sign Paulo Dybala for £10m before the Roma No.21’s price tag soars.
That is according to Football Transfers.
So, what is the situation involving Chelsea and Paulo Dybala? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well – according to Mundo Deportivo – Mauricio Pochettino personally added his fellow Argentine to the shortlist at Stamford Bridge after losing Kai Havertz and Mason Mount.
Chelsea are currently able to sign Dybala for just £10m due to a release clause written into his contract at Roma – however, that will not be in place for much longer.
Football Transfers explain how the Argentina international’s release clause expires on Monday 31st July – after that date, Roma can demand whatever they like for the South American.

The feeling is that Roma will request far more than £10m for Dybala if nobody triggers his release clause across the next seven days.
In 38 appearances last season, the 29-year-old scored 18 goals and also provided eight assists, so Jose Mourinho will not want to lose his most prolific attacker on the cheap.
Why Pochettino wants Dybala at Chelsea
Aside from his quality up front, Pochettino also wants Dybala at Stamford Bridge as he feels the current squad lacks a bit of experience in the attacking department.
That is according to the Independent.
Pochettino is right – Chelsea only have one forward over the age of 25 who is expected to be at Stamford Bridge next season in Raheem Sterling.

The likes of Noni Madueke and Mykhailo Mudryk need an experienced head to help them through difficult games, and there are few more experienced attackers yet to reach their thirties than Dybala, who boasts 443 appearances in football.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Chelsea now face a race against time to sign Dybala for £10m.
