Spanish newspaper Marca have claimed that Joao Felix’s performance for Atletico Madrid yesterday may actually put off any sides wanting to sign him.
Chelsea have been linked with a move to sign the 23-year-old this month after he made it clear he wanted to leave the La Liga side.
Felix featured in Atletico’s 1-0 defeat to Barcelona last night.

The Portugal man’s time in Spain has seemingly halted his progress after leaving Benfica as one of the most promising young players in the world.
He looked to use the World Cup in Qatar as his opportunity to prove his worth to any potentially interested suitors.
While he did impress on a personal level, his country will be disappointed with their finish after being knocked out by Hakim Ziyech’s Morocco.
Felix slammed by national media
It has been reported that Chelsea join Arsenal and Manchester United in being Premier League sides interested in bringing in Felix this month.
However, Marca have claimed his performance last night will have certainly not turned any heads among those sides.
They said: “However, his 73 minutes have only made the operation difficult for Jorge Mendes and Atlético.
“Let’s see what arguments the representative puts on the table, to see how the rojiblanco club becomes strong after there were hardly any signs of him on the green.”

Chelsea are currently desperate for a goalscorer after enduring another nightmare season in front of goal without a regularly firing forward.
However, there are questions over whether the profile they’re looking for is Felix, or if his desire to leave is more behind their approach.
It is claimed that the Blues will add Christopher Nkunku to their ranks at the end of the season, with him sporting a very similar profile to the Portugal man.
