Chelsea’s January transfer window has not gone to plan. The Blues still have so much to do with less than 24 hours until the deadline.
There have been no additions to Enzo Maresca’s first-team squad besides the recalls of Trevoh Chalobah and Aaron Anselmino from their loans at Crystal Palace and Boca Juniors, respectively.
David Datro Fofana and Gabriel Slonina have all also returned but they are not expected to join the senior squad anytime soon.
As for outgoings, Cesare Casadei has joined Torino for £12.5 million and Renato Veiga completed a loan move to Juventus last week.
The Chelsea Chronicle now looks at five more transfers that could happen before the window closes on Monday night.

Joao Felix’s Chelsea future still undecided
Joao Felix was linked to Aston Villa a few days ago and then AC Milan suddenly emerged as the favourites to sign him.
Both clubs are interested in taking the Portugal international on loan but Chelsea would rather sell him permanently, either now or at the end of the season.
With Christopher Nkunku set to stay at Stamford Bridge, the Blues could change their minds just to avoid having another unhappy player in the dressing room.
Chelsea want Man City wonderkid Nico O’Reilly
Fabrizio Romano broke the news that Chelsea were lining up a move for Manchester City wonderkid Nico O’Reilly on Sunday.
The Blues had not been linked to the midfielder at all throughout the window but it now seems possible that he will join the West London club today.
Even though O’Reilly has only ever played once for Man City, Chelsea fans would be excited by his addition after the last transaction between the two clubs: Cole Palmer.

Axel Disasi on Aston Villa and Tottenham’s radar
Axel Disasi is clearly surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge after failing to impress Enzo Maresca in the 2024/25 season to date.
Premier League rivals Aston Villa and Tottenham are the two clubs battling for his signature, with the defender preferring a move to the Midlands.
Chelsea do not want to help out another club in the race for the Champions League places (Villa) but Disasi does not want to join Spurs.
Enzo Maresca wants Alejandro Garnacho
Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho is one of Chelsea’s top transfer targets and Maresca wants to bring him to the club.
It was reported that United set the Blues a deadline of Friday to bid for the winger, which would mean the chance to sign him has been and gone.
But we all know that money talks and an offer in the region of £70 million would surely raise some eyebrows in the Red Devils’ boardroom.

Ben Chilwell close to Crystal Palace move
Ben Chilwell has been frozen out of Chelsea’s squad all season as the left-back does not suit Maresca’s style of football.
The former England international is not an inverted wing-back and never will be, but he still has plenty to offer another Premier League club.
Crystal Palace are the favourites to give Chilwell another chance after the South London club made contact with Chelsea on Saturday night.
