How much Chelsea could be willing to sell Noni Madueke for this summer

Following the signing of Pedro Neto from Wolverhampton Wanderers, Chelsea look open to selling Noni Madueke.

Chelsea announced the arrival of Pedro Neto from Wolves last Sunday, giving Enzo Maresca yet another attacking option.

Maresca wants a big Chelsea squad, so Madueke could very much still have a future in west London.

However, it appears that if the right offer arrives before the transfer window closes, the Blues will consider it.

Chelsea could sell Noni Madueke

Chelsea are not actively trying to sell Madueke and it is clear that Maresca rates the winger after giving him plenty of game time in pre-season.

The club, though, do not seem to be totally against the idea of a sale this summer.

According to The Athletic, they have placed a valuation of around £60m on Madueke, whom Graham Potter pushed Chelsea to sign during his time as Blues boss.

Eddie Howe thinks highly of Madueke, so Newcastle United could be a potential destination for the 22-year-old.

Noni Madueke and Pedro Neto can play in the same Chelsea team

Neto‘s arrival at Chelsea does not have to spell the end for Madueke. It is possible for Maresca to fit both players into the same starting XI.

Neto is probably at his most dangerous when he is on the right, where he can cut in from with his left foot.

However, the Portugal international can also play on the left. In fact, Neto has already said he’s happy to play anywhere in the frontline.

With him on the left, Madueke could start on the right, while Cole Palmer takes up a more central position. It will come down to what system Maresca wants to use and perhaps whether Chelsea sign more attackers.

The club continue to be linked with both Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen. Felix’s camp are confident a Chelsea deal could happen before the end of the month.

Just looking at Chelsea’s current squad now, though, there is still enough room for Madueke.
