Chelsea and Al-Ahli both want to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, and it looks like the latter are going all out to land him.
The Saudi Pro League club seem prepared to put a release clause in Victor Osimhen‘s contract to convince him to join them.
There now looks to be a real possibility of Chelsea missing out on the 25-year-old; however, they do seem to have alternatives.
For example, Chelsea and Manchester United are interested in Ivan Toney, so that is one striker the Blues could sign instead.

Victor Osimhen’s potential release clause at Al-Ahli
If Osimhen does go on to join Al-Ahli in the future, it looks like another club could get an absolute bargain in the future.
Right now, it has been claimed that Napoli are willing to sell their talisman for around €65m (£54.6m), which is a decent price for a top striker in this day and age.
However, according to journalist Gianluigi Longari, his release clause at Al-Ahli could be even lower than that.
That could be good news for Chelsea if they cannot land Osimhen now but want to sign him in the future.
Troy Deeney has urged Chelsea to sign Toney over Osimhen, and he may see that happen as Al-Ahli do everything they can to bring in the latter.
Could Chelsea sign Victor Osimhen in the future?
If they cannot now, then do not rule it out. Osimhen is only 25 and is a very good forward, so he will not want to spend the rest of his career playing in Saudi Arabia.
It means Chelsea could have the chance to sign him in a future transfer window if he does end up in the Saudi Pro League.
In an ideal world, Nicolas Jackson just develops into a consistent goalscorer, then there would be no need to go after Osimhen again.
Jackson has been linked to Aston Villa, but it is unlikely that Chelsea would let him join them so late in the transfer window.
