Liverpool are interested in signing Levi Colwill and know what Chelsea’s stance on the defender is.
Colwill has been a key player for Enzo Maresca this season, making 25 appearances so far.
In the summer, central defence is an area Chelsea could strengthen as they continue to be linked with several names.
Bologna’s Sam Beukema is one centre-back Chelsea like, for example. However, even if they sign the 26-year-old or someone else in the next transfer window, Colwill’s position in the team looks safe.

Liverpool doubt Chelsea will sell Levi Colwill to them
Last January, it was reported that Liverpool were interested in signing Colwill from Chelsea, and it looks like that interest is still there.
According to TEAMtalk, the Reds have been following the 22-year-old, but they seem very pessimistic about landing him.
The same outlet claims that Liverpool think Chelsea’s plan is to keep hold of him, rather than entertain offers.
It means Arne Slot will have to look elsewhere this summer as he tries to strengthen Liverpool’s defence.
In February, transfer insider Graeme Bailey also told The Chelsea Chronicle that the Blues have no plans to sell Colwill when the market opens again.
Chelsea’s reluctance to sell Colwill comes as no surprise, with the club trying to close the gap between them and their Premier League rivals. Handing one of their best defenders over to the Reds would only increase it.

Liverpool not the only club interested in Levi Colwill
If Chelsea do become open to selling Colwill for whatever reason, then Liverpool could face competition from one of Europe’s biggest clubs for his signature.
Bayern Munich tried to buy Colwill last summer, but the England international had no interest in joining them.
Should he become available, it would not be a shock to see the German outfit make another attempt to sign him.
Being Chelsea’s first-choice centre-half this season, though, you cannot see Colwill leaving Stamford Bridge this summer. With a contract until 2029 as well, the Blues are under no pressure to sell.
