Manchester United have identified three players whom Chelsea have reportedly looked at before as potential targets for January.

Chelsea were able to strengthen in the left-back position over the summer, bringing in Renato Veiga from Basel.

Veiga is a huge fan of Marc Cucurella and is now competing with the 26-year-old for a spot in Enzo Maresca‘s team.

United, on the other hand, did not bring in a new left-back but could look to address that position in January.

Manchester United looking at Antonee Robinson, Milos Kerkez and Bradley Locko

Before Chelsea brought in Veiga, the Blues were linked with Fulham’s Antonee Robinson, Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez and Brest’s Bradley Locko.

Back in March, it was claimed that Chelsea were seriously interested in Robinson. Kerkez was then said to be a target for Chelsea.

As for the last of the three left-backs, Locko was also on Chelsea’s radar, but the Blues signed neither in the end.

According to GiveMeSport, United are now considering all three players for the January transfer window.

Chelsea no longer need Antonee Robinson, Milos Kerkez or Bradley Locko

At one stage, Chelsea supporters probably would have taken either one of Robinson, Kerkez or Locko.

Last season, Ben Chilwell could not stay fit, while Cucurella’s future at Stamford Bridge came into doubt.

However, Cucurella has since become a key player for the team and Veiga has replaced the injury-prone Chilwell in the Chelsea squad.

Ultimately, then, there is not really a need for a new left-back, especially considering the fact that the Blues have not even managed to offload Chilwell yet.

The 27-year-old is still at the club, despite Maresca having made it clear that he will not feature under him this season.

Chilwell was linked with a move to United during the summer transfer window, but their eyes look to be elsewhere as they consider Robinson, Kerkez and Locko. When Chilwell does eventually leave Chelsea, it will be for another Premier League club or an outfit outside of England it seems.
