Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams has been linked to several top European teams this summer, including Barcelona and Chelsea.
And Nico Williams may now have just given a big hint about whether he is staying at Athletic Bilbao or not.
Some Chelsea fans would probably love to see him move to their club during this transfer window.
The Blues’ current left wingers, Raheem Sterling and Mykhailo Mudryk, are not always the most consistent wide men.
Combined, they scored just 13 goals in the Premier League last season. To put that into perspective, Cole Palmer (22) and Nicolas Jackson (14) scored more goals by themselves.
At 23, though, Mudryk definitely has time to improve and find more consistency in his game. Chelsea should consider replacing Mudryk if that does not happen, however.

Nico Williams set to stay at Athletic Bilbao?
Barcelona and Chelsea are two of the biggest clubs in the world. Once they registered their interest in Williams, it looked like Athletic were going to find it difficult to keep hold of him.
However, Williams could be about to disappoint a whole lot of Barcelona and Chelsea supporters by remaining where he is.
In a post shared by Athletic’s official X account, Williams can be heard saying, “I’m back! Can’t wait for the season.” That message to his current supporters suggests that he is staying.
Barcelona don’t look ready to give up on Williams, though, so this story may not be over just yet.
Chelsea’s links with Federico Chiesa
Williams is not the only wide man who has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge this summer.
Recently, there has been talk about Juventus’ Federico Chiesa potentially joining Chelsea before the transfer window closes.
In fact, it has been claimed that Chiesa’s agent has reached out to Chelsea. Other than staying at Juventus, all options seem to be on the table for Chiesa, so a switch to the Blues should perhaps not be ruled out.
