As things stand, Chelsea have confirmed the sales of three players. Marc Cucurella is the biggest so far, completing a move to Real Madrid – and Ruben Loftus-Cheek could play a role in another.

Chelsea have received an initial £47.5m from Real Madrid from the sale of Cucurella, while two others have also departed Chelsea in permanent deals. Jimmy-Jay Morgan has joined West Brom for a £4m fee.

Man United and Newcastle are interested.

The playmaker impressed on loan at Peterborough, and the Baggies have chosen to swoop ahead of the new season. Then, this week, Everton and Chelsea agreed on a £24m package for winger Tyrique George.

Chelsea will receive £18m up front for England U21 winger George, with Everton opting against paying the £25m permanent fee in his loan. Plenty of others are being linked with the exit door this summer.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek could be the key in Chelsea’s next sale

Alejandro Garnacho, Andrey Santos, Mamadou Sarr, Enzo Fernandez, Liam Delap, Filip Jorgensen – just a few names being linked with the exit door at Chelsea this summer. Another is defender Trevoh Chalobah.

Inter Milan and Como have shown interest in England World Cup star Chalobah. Como saw a £25m bid rejected for Chalobah, while recent reports suggest Chalobah is ‘expected’ to complete a move to Inter.

It all depends on which club is willing to meet Chelsea’s asking price of £35m, with Inter said to have put £30m on the table in recent days. Now, the Evening Standard has an update regarding his stance.

They claim that Ruben Loftus-Cheek – who is one of a few examples of English players leaving Chelsea to join Italian clubs – has spoken to Chalobah and helped convince the defender to make a move to Italy.

Chelsea are right to sell Chalobah, £35m would be superb

Chalobah is a good defender, no doubt. He offers cover at right-back and can play either at centre-back or on the right or in the middle of a back three. But Chalobah has had a poor 12 months at Chelsea.

Trevoh Chalobah has been getting away it for too long 😑

This is alarming!

The defender needs a move this summer. With Chalobah playing a key role in the Blues defence, he has been a major reason for the Blues’ inability to defend crosses and set-pieces throughout 2025-26.

A £35m price tag has been slapped on his head. If BlueCo and Chelsea receive anything over £30m for Chalobah, then it is great business. Especially with Levi Colwill fit and Maxence Lacroix expected to join.
