Tottenham are one of the clubs interested in signing a Chelsea-owned player ahead of the summer transfer window.
There are a number of players who have played for both London giants Chelsea and Tottenham in their careers. For example, the likes of Timo Werner, William Gallas and Dominic Solanke.
The latest transfer speculation suggests that some more individuals could soon join that list.
It was reported earlier in April that Chelsea could look to sign Mathys Tel if he doesn’t turn his loan move at Spurs from Bayern Munich into a permanent one in the summer.
Now, Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs side have set their eyes on a Chelsea loanee.

Tottenham among clubs looking at Chelsea loanee Andrey Santos
Chelsea’s Andrey Santos, who’s enjoying a brilliant loan spell at Strasbourg this season, is a big topic for discussion going into the summer.
Speaking earlier in April, Andrey Santos claimed he’s ready to play for Chelsea and is waiting for the season to finish before discussions take place. However, the latest transfer speculation suggests he could make a U-turn on his future.
According to CaughtOffside, Santos is ‘not entirely committed’ to going back to Chelsea next season once his Strasbourg loan expires.
It is explained that Tottenham, Arsenal, Newcastle United, Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan are keeping an eye on the 20-year-old midfielder as they’re interested in a potential transfer raid.
The report claims that Santos could be available for a fee in the region of €45m (£38.5m) and €50m (£43m).
Earlier in April, Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca praised Andrey Santos for his performances at Strasbourg. It’s no secret that he’s one of the most exciting young midfielders around right now, so it’s hardly surprising that clubs are lurking to see if he’s available.

Chelsea fans would be furious at Andrey Santos sale, especially to Tottenham or Arsenal
While Chelsea’s season has been a bit up and down this term, one of the brightest sparks is actually what’s been happening away from the club.
At the age of 20, Santos has proven in the French top division that he’s the complete central midfielder.
| Appearances | Goals | Assists | Passing accuracy | Chances created | Tackles won | Duels won | Average match rating |
| 28 | 9 | 3 | 87.9% | 25 | 66 | 197 | 7.74 |
It’s clear that the excitement has been building within the Chelsea fanbase imagining what Santos can do in their XI next season when he returns from a superb loan spell.
Chelsea supporters expect Andrey Santos to play next year, especially because of Romeo Lavia’s injury problems, so suggestions that the player is now doubting his own future is a major concern.
If the South American rising star did end up joining Spurs or Arsenal this summer, we’d worry about the kind of backlash that would cause from the fanbase towards the club’s hierarchy. Hopefully, it’s nothing more than paper talk, and we see Santos integrated into Chelsea’s squad next season.
