Tyrique George was the star of the show in Chelsea U21s’ 6-3 win against Brentford earlier.
Half of those goals were scored by Tyrique George, with the winger managing to grab a hat-trick.
George will be hoping that he caught Enzo Maresca‘s attention. He has already managed to play a competitive game under the Italian this season, featuring in the second leg of Chelsea‘s play-off tie against Servette in the Conference League.
“Tyrique is talent through the roof,” Noni Madueke recently said when talking about George.

Chelsea fans react to Tyrique George’s hat-trick
Madueke is not the only person who has been impressed with George. Following the 18-year-old’s hat-trick against Brentford, loads of Chelsea supporters took to X to praise him.
One Chelsea fan said: “Tyrique George is generational, need to see him prove his worth in senior football.”
Another said: “Tyrique George with a hat-trick against Brentford U21s, cannot wait to see more of him in the Conference League games.”
And finally, one Chelsea supporter posted: “Tyrique George. Hat-trick. Could get used to that.”
Cobham continues to produce so much talent, with Chelsea having several players called up for the England U19s over the international break, including George.
Tyrique George unlikely to get too many first-team opportunities this season
Chelsea fans hoping to see more of George in the first team may be left feeling disappointed.
George is obviously blessed with talent, but the problem is Maresca has so many quality wide options in his senior squad.
For example, in the Blues’ 1-0 win against Bournemouth on Saturday, the Italian was able to bring on Jadon Sancho for Pedro Neto. That switch alone shows the quality that Chelsea have on the wings.
Sancho did not disappoint when he was introduced to the game either, setting up Christopher Nkunku’s winning goal.
Nkunku credited Sancho for his assist on Instagram after the match, and Chelsea supporters will be keen to see George making a similar impact in the first team. However, it may take a while before they are able to see him do that.
For now, the likes of Sancho, Neto, Madueke and Cole Palmer will continue to be Chelsea’s main wide options.
