Chelsea and Enzo Maresca will have the chance to tweak their squad next month when the transfer window opens.
Heading into the January transfer window, Chelsea continue to be linked with several strikers, including Paris Saint-Germain’s Randal Kolo Muani.
Despite reports, as of now, Chelsea are not planning to make an approach for Kolo Muani, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
However, if that changes and the club find themselves in a situation where they are really keen on the 26-year-old, then they should consider offering PSG one of their stars.

Chelsea should offer Christopher Nkunku to PSG
Some kind of swap deal involving Christopher Nkunku and Kolo Muani is a deal that could benefit all parties.
There are much better strikers out there than Kolo Muani, who has really struggled at PSG. This season, he has only made two starts in Ligue 1. But again, if this is the man whom Chelsea become set on, then it could make sense for them to try and exchange Nkunku for the former Eintracht Frankfurt man.
Unlike Nkunku, Kolo Muani is a recognised centre-forward. He could provide natural cover for Nicolas Jackson.
From Nkunku’s perspective, the France international is barely playing for Chelsea right now. He has only made two league starts as well in the current campaign.
To reiterate, then, an Nkunku-Kolo Muani swap could be good for everyone. Nkunku gets more playing time at one of Europe’s biggest clubs, PSG get a top forward, Kolo Muani gets a fresh start and Chelsea get proper cover for Jackson.
Last month, it was claimed that PSG are interested in Nkunku, so maybe there is a deal to be done here. Chelsea signed Nkunku from RB Leipzig for £52m last year.
Enzo Maresca loves Christopher Nkunku
While Maresca is not starting Nkunku right now, it is clearly nothing personal. The Chelsea manager just has too many quality attacking options, while he has actually claimed that he loves the former Leipzig man.
Maresca spoke about Nkunku during Chelsea’s pre-season and told reporters: “I knew Nkunku before I joined and I love him. He can play in the pocket, as a nine and winger. He’s a very good fit for this system.”
Because of his lack of game time, though, Nkunku will argue that his boss has not shown that.
The Blues should not be prioritising Kolo Muani; they can probably sign a centre-forward in better form than him. But if that is the route that they do want to go down, then perhaps Nkunku could play a part.
