Chelsea’s transfer window activity went up a number of levels last night following reports of a serious change of plans.
It was reported last night that the Blues had decided against the signing of Samu Omorodion at the last moment, although that threatened to put the sale of Conor Gallagher in doubt too.
In order for the England international to join the Spanish club, it feels as if they need to sell a player, and talk cropped up last night of the potential of Joao Felix being the one who departs.
With a divisive loan spell at Stamford Bridge under his belt already, it has been claimed the Blues are in talks over his potential signing.
Raheem Sterling expected to leave if Joao Felix joins Chelsea
His addition would obviously bring another player to their already stacked attack, however Fabrizio Romano has stated that he believes Raheem Sterling would leave the club if the deal was struck.

He said on Playback: “I think Madueke can leave if they receive a good proposal. Sterling would be expected to leave if Felix signs.”
There have been efforts made by the ownership to sell Sterling all summer, however his wages and personal desire to stay are proving to be a stumbling block.
It was even stated recently that some at the club had started to believe Sterling was a good fit for Enzo Maresca’s system.
Pedro Neto set for minutes at Chelsea
However, the boss has more often than not looked to Mykhailo Mudryk to start on the left, and has a new addition to think about too in the form of Pedro Neto.
There remains a feeling that the England international has not lived up to the expectations since his £50m move.
Where Felix would feature in the team remains to be seen, however there is little doubt in his quality on the ball.
However, he did a lot of his good work in West London when neither of Cole Palmer and Christopher Nkunku were present to take minutes off him.
