Chelsea have already confirmed the sales of two players this summer, and two more are expected in the coming week. But how much cash have BlueCo already raked in?
One of Xabi Alonso’s biggest tasks this summer will be to reduce Chelsea’s enormous squad to a size that is deemed fit for a season without European football. Chelsea’s squad, as it stands, is absolutely massive.
By the time Chelsea’s new arrivals for 2026 have settled in, the loanees have returned, and those in World Cup action are back at Cobham, Alonso could be dealing with a squad that far exceeds 40 players.

Denner, Dastan Satpaev, Emmanuel Emegha, Marco Palestra, Valentin Barco and Geovany Quenda will all arrive at Chelsea this summer. The wage bill needs trimming, and Chelsea need to build up their coffers.
Without the financial influx of European football and more Financial Fair Play fines emerging, it is crucial Alonso trims the squad by more than 15 players this summer. So far, two players have been sold.
How much Chelsea have received from two sales
The two permanent sales made by Chelsea currently stand at Marc Cucurella and Jimmy-Jay Morgan. The latter has joined West Brom for £4m after an impressive season on loan at Peterborough in League One.

Cucurella, meanwhile, has joined Real Madrid for £51.8m – though £47.5m of it arrives as an initial fee. That means Chelsea have already received around £51.5m from their two official, confirmed departures.
Enzo Maresca’s compensation fee further boosts Chelsea coffers
However, Chelsea have not only received cash from the two player sales made so far. Indeed, Man City have confirmed the appointment of Enzo Maresca as gaffer, with £17m paid to Chelsea in compensation.
Indeed, Maresca is also said to owe a compensation fee to Chelsea, though that remains undisclosed. It sees Chelsea’s income already, at this stage, standing at a whopping £68.5m from just three deals.

Chelsea are set for a £44m influx from two more sales
Of course, the decision to buy Marco Palestra reduces that influx to a little over £20m. Palestra is believed to have cost Chelsea a fee of around £47m, though it is unclear how much has been paid up front.
However, Chelsea could reimburse themselves in the coming days. Tyrique George is set to leave Chelsea for an initial £18m, plus £6m more in add-ons. That takes Chelsea’s income this summer to £86.5m.
Who is the best £100m midfielder in the Premier League?
Then, there is Trevoh Chalobah. Inter Milan are expected to sign Chalobah, and the England defender is set to be the subject of a £30m offer from Inter early next week. Of that fee, £26m will be paid up top.
That would take Chelsea’s incoming cash to a huge £112.5m already, with only Palestra’s fee going against that. Plenty more sales are expected; it could be a record summer for Chelsea’s coffers.
