‘Incredible’ Chelsea player has great relationship with teammate despite competing for same position

There does not appear to be any bad blood between two Chelsea stars who are competing for the same spot this season.

Right now, there is a lot of competition at Chelsea. For example, Enzo Fernandez is now having to fight Romeo Lavia for a place in the team, a fight that the World Cup winner is currently losing.

Christopher Nkunku is also trying to oust Nicolas Jackson out of the side, which he is struggling to do. As a result, Nkunku is now concerned about his situation at Chelsea.

At the back, Filip Jorgensen is hoping that he will be able to succeed Robert Sanchez as the team’s No.1 one day.

Filip Jorgensen and Robert Sanchez getting along

While Jorgensen is trying to take Sanchez’s place in the team, the two goalkeepers do not seem to have an issue with each other

According to GiveMeSport, the pair actually have a strong relationship and there is no tension between them.

Chelsea signed Jorgensen from Villarreal during the summer, but Sanchez has been Enzo Maresca‘s first-choice shot-stopper this season.

Ben Foster described Sanchez as “incredible” after one game, but he has been a bit hit-and-miss in the current campaign. It was the 26-year-old who conceded Chelsea’s penalty against Manchester United last weekend.

Filip Jorgensen should be close to first Premier League start

Maresca has reiterated that Sanchez is his No.1. However, after making yet another mistake in Chelsea’s previous Premier League fixture, the Italian really should be thinking about giving Jorgensen a shot in the top flight.

Unfortunately for Jorgensen and Chelsea supporters who want to see Sanchez dropped, though, Maresca looks to have made up his mind.

All the Denmark U21 international can do for the time being is make an impression in the Conference League. He will get the chance to do that on Thursday when Chelsea welcome Armenian side Noah to Stamford Bridge.
