Expectations have been lifted around Chelsea right now and what they can achieve this season under Enzo Maresca.

The Blues recorded their first Premier League home win of the season at the weekend against Brighton, with Cole Palmer scoring all four in a 4-2 win.

Pundits since that game have waxed lyrical about the England international. Jamie Carragher has stated he believes he is better right now than Phil Foden.

One feature that was key to help the Blues to a comfortable end to the game was the fact that they were able to bring on a host of quality players to replace those who started the game.

The likes of Pedro Neto and Christopher Nkunku were brought on, with Romeo Lavia returning from injury to make his first appearance in the league since the opening day.

O’Hara thinks Chelsea can actually win the Premier League

Jamie O’Hara believes that this is a key factor that means Chelsea have to be in the conversation for winning the Premier League this season.

He said to TalkSPORT: “How can you say Chelsea can’t win the title when they have Joao Felix, Christopher Nkunku, Pedro Neto and Romeo Lavia coming off the bench? You can’t tell me they can’t challenge for the title.”

A number of those who make up the very strong depth at the club are going to be involved tomorrow night when the Blues return to Conference League action for their first group stage game against Gent.

Chelsea set to rotate in Conference League

The Chelsea Chronicle have predicted a start for Josh Acheampong, with them having to get creative at times recently when it comes to the right-back role this season.

Malo Gusto was back amongst the starters last weekend against Brighton, although his minutes will likely be managed due to the ongoing issue being suffered by club captain Reece James.

There is still no timeframe over when the England international will be back in action after his issue suffered days before the season began.
