Fabrizio Romano has claimed on his YouTube that striker David Datro Fofana is excited about the prospect of joining Chelsea.
Recent news has suggested that the Blues are close to agreeing a deal to sign the striker from Molde, with it set to be confirmed for January.
Acquiring in the forward position is a crucial port of call for the club after the news that they have lost one of their few options for the remainder of the season.

Armando Broja was stretchered off against Aston Villa in a friendly match, with the diagnosis being that his season was over due to a knee injury.
This left them with just Kai Havertz and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as available options to play up front, with neither in particularly good veins of form.
Fofana keen on Chelsea
For this reason, rumours persisted that they were going to enter the market in January to sign a forward for Graham Potter to work with. If they can agree personal terms, it looks like that forward is going to be Fofana.
Romano has claimed the Ivorian is excited by the prospect of moving to Stamford Bridge, where he could be playing his football in a couple of weeks’ time.

He said: “Chelsea are now discussing personal terms with the player. Full agreement between clubs for Fofana. The player of course is excited by this possibility, but now it’s time to reach the agreement and then to sign the deal.
“It’s a deal for January, not the summer. It’s a big opportunity for him.”
With Christopher Nkunku still set to join at the end of the season, it is unclear how much of a role Fofana will play in the long-term. Nevertheless, he comes to the Premier League in a fine run of form from his time in Norway.
