Chelsea’s first-team defender is reportedly receiving transfer interest in the closing stages of the winter window.
There are now only a few hours remaining on Monday’s transfer deadline day, so how many more incomings and outgoings will there be at Chelsea?
In terms of the Blues defence, they’ve acted so far in the window by recalling both Trevoh Chalobah and Aaron Anselmino from their respective loan deals. Anselmino is expected to stay with Chelsea, even though he’s been linked with leaving again on loan.
Let’s hope Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca is happy with his backline once the window shuts.

Premier League club resurrect move for Chelsea player
Journalist Matt Law has claimed via The Telegraph (4:08pm, 3 February) that Tottenham have ‘resurrected their move’ to sign Chelsea’s Axel Disasi.
Apparently, Spurs already have an agreement in place with the Blues from earlier in the window to take the 26-year-old defender on loan for the rest of the season for a fee of £5m.
It is understood that Disasi was reluctant to join Spurs because he was favouring a move to Aston Villa. However, Spurs are now back in negotiations for the French central defender, and they’re making a new attempt in the final hours of the transfer window to convince the player to join them on loan.
Chelsea rejected Villa’s loan bid for Disasi because they view them as a threat for Champions League qualification this season.
Let’s see if Disasi can find himself a way out of Stamford Bridge in the final moments of the mid-season transfer window.

Can Chelsea cope if Axel Disasi leaves?
Even though Disasi’s played 17 games across all competitions this season for the Blues, we think the club are in a position where they could do without him.
The versatile defender, who can play as a right-back or centre-half, is one of the more experienced individuals in the Chelsea squad. He’s even captained them this campaign in numerous cup matches, too.
| Competition | Appearances |
| Conference League | 6 |
| Premier League | 6 |
| Conference League qualifiers | 2 |
| Carabao Cup | 2 |
| FA Cup | 1 |
However, he’s nowhere near Enzo Maresca’s best starting line-up right now.
Disasi is good around the Chelsea dressing room, so he’d be a loss from that point of view. Blues youngster Josh Acheampong, 18. can definitely fill his role in the squad, though.
