The problem Jadon Sancho has with Erik ten Hag as Chelsea look to sign him this week

A poor relationship with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag means Jadon Sancho would probably not turn down a move to Chelsea before Friday’s transfer deadline.

Jadon Sancho has now become a serious target for Chelsea as the Blues try to offload Raheem Sterling.

To do so, it has been widely reported that Chelsea could offer the 29-year-old to United in a swap deal for Sancho, who has also been linked to Juventus.

The winger left United in January after a fall-out with Ten Hag, joining former club Borussia Dortmund on loan. Sancho is back at Old Trafford, but there still seems to be a bit of an issue after he was left out of the Red Devils’ first two Premier League fixtures.

Jadon Sancho and Erik ten Hag’s issues with each other

Ten Hag does not seem to be the biggest fan of Sancho, which is good news for Chelsea as they look to sign the 24-year-old.

At the same time, though, Sancho also seems to have a problem with the Dutchman.

According to journalist Dean Jones, while Ten Hag does not trust Sancho to effectively carry out his game plans, the England international does not trust his manager to use him properly.

It would probably be best for the two to go their separate ways, with Chelsea now there to offer Sancho a way out of Old Trafford. Former Blues midfielder John Obi Mikel wants to see Sancho at Chelsea.

Jadon Sancho’s weekly wages

Sancho will be on lower wages at Chelsea if he decides to join them this summer, with the Blues no longer handing out ridiculous salaries.

At United, the former Dortmund star is currently earning a base salary of £250,000-a-week with a £100,000-a-week bonus, according to Capology.

It is the kind of money that Sterling and Romelu Lukaku are pocketing at Chelsea, but the club are, of course, trying to get rid of the two.

The Telegraph reported on Tuesday that Chelsea and United have been in talks over swapping Sterling and Sancho.
