Nicolas Jackson’s proposed move from Chelsea to Bayern Munich looked completely dead at one stage.
Following Liam Delap’s injury against Fulham on Saturday, Chelsea decided to block the striker’s switch to Bayern.
Twenty-four hours later, it then started to emerge that Bayern had given up on signing Jackson.
However, at the beginning of deadline day, Chelsea selling Jackson permanently was not ruled out, and it looks like that is about to happen.

Bayern Munich to start paying for Nicolas Jackson from July 2026
It is now being widely reported that Jackson to Bayern is back on and the expectation is that he will end up at the Allianz Arena.
According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, it will be a permanent deal, with Chelsea set to receive their first payment for the 24-year-old in July 2026.
It means Chelsea will now have to find another way to address their centre-forward dilemma.
Marc Guiu is expected to return from his loan spell at Sunderland, so he could be the man to fill in for Delap.
The Blues have also been linked with a few strikers, including Paris Saint-Germain’s Randal Kolo Muani. It is believed that Kolo Muani’s name has been discussed at Chelsea, but whether Todd Boehly and Co want to spend big on cover remains to be seen.

Could Newcastle challenge Bayern Munich for Nicolas Jackson’s signature?
Newcastle United are another club who have shown some interest in signing Jackson this summer, but they are unlikely to make a swoop for the Senegal international.
Newcastle are closing in on Yoane Wissa and recently bought Nick Woltemade from Stuttgart. They will feel that there is no need for another centre-forward like Jackson.
The former Villarreal man will not be the only exit at Stamford Bridge on deadline day. It is being reported that AS Roma could sign Tyrique George, who came on for Delap over the weekend after the 22-year-old sustained his hamstring injury.
