They returned to winning ways at the weekend against Sheffield United, however will likely need to bring more to the table to book their place in the semi-final.

Here’s The Chelsea Chronicle’s predicted line-up for the match against Newcastle.

GK and Defence

Djordje Petrovic enjoyed a relatively quiet debut between the sticks, and he will continue his run in the side tomorrow night.

After lining up with four natural centre-backs at the weekend, the manager will recall Malo Gusto to his starting side at right-back.

Thiago Silva has been a crucial player for the Blues this season, and will continue at the back tomorrow night.

He will again be partnered by Benoit Badiashile, who was particularly monumental against Sheffield United at the weekend.

Left-back has a plethora of injuries impacting it right now, so Levi Colwill will continue despite being more comfortable in the middle of defence.

Midfield

After being rested at the weekend, Enzo Fernandez will be recalled to look to run things in the middle of the park.

He will be partnered by Moises Caicedo, who enjoyed arguably his best game for his new club at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Ahead of those two, Conor Gallagher will return to the slightly higher role after playing deeper against Sheffield United.

Attack

Cole Palmer was the difference maker again for Chelsea last time out, and he will start again against Newcastle.

On the opposite flank, Raheem Sterling will look to provide the magic like he did when he set up the opener last time out.

Up front, Nicolas Jackson will continue, with Christopher Nkunku waiting in the wings to make his debut for the club.
